Book Information
Book Description
The aim of this textbook is to introduce the integration between online learning and problem-based learning (PBL) in teaching and learning physics amongst pre-university students. Problem-based learning is an educational approach that centers around students actively engaging with real-world problems and challenges as a primary means of learning. It is a student-centered and constructivist teaching method that emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-directed learning. Problem-based learning typically implemented physically (i.e., face-to-face) in classroom, however, recent COVID-19 provide an opportunity to integrate online in the implementation of PBL. The textbook is recommended for use alongside pre-university students with physics as one of the subject areas in their curriculum.
