Create Your Book<\/h1>\nIf you already have an account on an EDU or self-hosted Pressbooks network, you can create a book by doing the following:\n
    \n \t
  1. Login to your admin dashboard & click the 'Create a Book<\/strong>' button:\n\"Create<\/li>\n \t
  2. Fill in your desired webbook address <\/strong>and book title <\/strong>and click the 'Create book<\/strong>' button. Your webbook address cannot be changed later, so choose this value carefully. The book title can be easily changed at any point in the future.\n\"Pressbooks'<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    \n\nNote:\u00a0<\/strong>If you don't have access to an existing Pressbooks account, you can register for a free account on Pressbooks.pub<\/a>, our site for individual authors.\n\n<\/div>\n

    <\/a>Add Your Book Information<\/h1>\nThe Book Info<\/strong> page is where you add and edit important information (metadata) about your book.\n

    1. From your book dashboard, click 'Book Info'\n\"\"\n<\/strong><\/li>\n \t
    2. Enter your desired Book Information and click 'Save<\/strong>' in the 'Save Book Information<\/strong>' widget.\n\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      <\/a>Add and Organize Your Text<\/h1>\nYou can add and organize your text from the Organize<\/strong> page in the left sidebar menu of your book dashboard. The organize page will allow you to see all of your existing content, its order, and its display status. You'll see the three main components of your book on this page:\n\nFront Matter:\u00a0<\/strong>Content in this section may include your introduction, foreword, dedication, and more. You can read more in our chapter on Front Matter.<\/a>\n\nParts & Chapters: <\/strong>These comprise main body of your book. Your book can contain one or more Parts<\/strong>. Each part can contain one or more Chapters<\/strong>. Learn more in our chapters on adding Parts<\/a> and adding Chapters<\/a> to your book.\n\nBack Matter:\u00a0<\/strong>Content in this section may include your epilogue, appendix, information about contributors, and more.       <\/a>Choose Your Book Theme<\/h1>\nOnce you've entered or imported the content that will make up your book, you can select and apply your preferred Theme<\/strong>. Each Pressbooks theme is a unique template which governs the display of your webbook and export formats (including PDF and ebook exports).\n\nBrowse available themes by clicking Appearance > Themes<\/strong> from your Book Dashboard:\n\"\"\n\nOnce you've selected a theme, you can customize several of the design elements for your webbook and export files using Theme Options<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>or Custom CSS<\/a>.\n
